Tokyo falls after Powell intervention for fear of higher rate hike

The Tokyo Stock Exchange fell these days when 3 days of gains when the debut before the U.S. Congress of the new president of the Fed can rekindle the concern of a rate hike quicker than expected and an increase in inflation.



The Nikkei benchmark fell 321.62 points, 1.44%, to stand at 22,068.24 points, whereas the second indicator, the Topix, that teams the values of the primary section, fell 22.10 points , 1.23%, to 1,768.24 units.
