The Bank of Mexico increases the interest rate to 7.50%

The Bank of Mexico (Banxico) these days raised the nightlong interbank rate by twenty five basis points and placed it at 7.50%, so as to shore the downward trend in inflation and reduce potential economic shocks.



The board took the choice for "unanimity" at a time once risks persist like an unfavorable negotiation of the North American free trade Agreement (NAFTA) and anticipating "more restrictive financial conditions" within the United States economy.
