Uruguay and UPM seal a first agreement for a giant pulp mill

The Uruguayan government nowadays completed an arduous stage of seventeen months of negotiation with the Finnish UPM, that plans to install within the South yank country one amongst the biggest pulp mills within the world by one company and which is able to mean the biggest non-public investment within the history of the state.

In July 2016 UPM, which already incorporates a pulp mill within the department of Fray Bentos, in western Uruguay, hip to the govt. that Tabaré Vázquez heads its interest in putting in a second paper mill, larger than the previous one and with a production capacity of around 2 million tons.
