Uruguay says it does not import milk to be resold later to Brazil

Uruguay's Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa
Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa said today that his country does not import milk and then resell it to Brazil, and that argument, used by the neighboring country to suspend import licenses for the product, "is very fettered."

Speaking to local radio station Radio Carve, Nin Novoa also said that he has talks on this issue with Brazilian authorities and that the country's foreign minister, Aloysio Nunes, was not aware of the resolution that had been taken by the Ministry of Agriculture of his country.
