The lack of electricity in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria lasra the economic activity

More than 80% of Puerto Rico's state power company customers remain without electricity nearly a month after Hurricane Maria, which makes it difficult to open businesses and is a brake on economic activity.

The president of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce, Alicia Lamboy, told Efe that although it is early to know the impact of the cyclone for the local economy the fear is that some companies will not manage to overcome the blow and have to close their doors of definitive form.
