Lagarde: IMF to give "more optimistic" global growth forecasts

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) next week will present "more optimistic" global growth forecasts than in July, when it anticipated a global expansion of 3.5 percent in 2017 and 3.6 percent in 2018, manager, Christine Lagarde.

"Next week we will update our forecasts before the Annual Assembly, and will probably be more optimistic (than in July)," Lagarde said in a speech at Harvard University (Boston), before the start of the meeting of the organization that will take place from 10 to 15 October in Washington.
