Delta earns $ 3 billion through September, 20% less

Delta Airlines gained $ 3 billion in the first nine months of the year, down 20 percent year-on-year, but its quarterly results outpaced forecasts and its shares rose on Wall Street.

The airline, based in the city of Atlanta, recorded a net profit per share of $ 4.13 between January and September, compared to $ 4.92 for the same period in 2016, when earnings were $ 3,751 million of dollars.
